As I lay here, cuddled up in a chair with my laptop and blanket in the home of friends this weekend, I thought I'd do something different and post some random things you may not know about me.
(And by the way, the photo above has nothing more to do with this post than the fact that I loved the pic. I have no source info for it so if you know where I might' ve found it, feel free to tell me:)
So back to my list.
Here goes:
1.)I earned my associates' degree in one year instead of two
2.)I got married two months after marching down the aisle to accept my Bachelor's Degree
3.)I speak Spanish
4.)I love to sing-in church, specials, at Christmastime, in the shower, you name it
5.)The solemnity and impact of communion brings me to tears every.single.time-I am overcome at what Christ did for me(and YOU) on the cross
6.)I have two older siblings- a brother 16.5 years older than me, a sister ten years older
7.)I was never supposed to have been born- my birth was considered a medical miracle
8.)When I was four my birthday fell on Easter Sunday. Best. birthday.EVER.
( I rec'd my Cabbage Patch Doll from my big brother I hardly knew.And he was actually there to celebrate with me)
10.)I spent much of my childhood afternoons in hospitals-because my mom cared for sick and dying neighbors and also my uncle(her brother)
11.)My daddy gave me the nickname "Sparkles"
12.) I have very few memories of my childhood-which makes me determined more than ever to make sure we create plenty of them with our girls!
13.) I knew I would never marry a farmer or a military man. I just couldn't handle either. God knew. I married a teacher instead.
14.) Eric and I know we are called to the ministry. This summer's trips were just the beginning for us.
15.) I've always wanted to do two things:
-be a runner(but I hate to sweat...go figure)
-play the piano(I aced a college course in it but nothing stuck...it's just not my gift)
16.) Some day I'd love to take a hot air balloon ride. I guess you could say its on my "bucket list."
So there's a laundry list about me. Of course there's a lot more to me but for now I thought I'd share these random facts.

Phew! I don't feel so funny then. I've always thought it was such a weird excuse. (But its the truth!):)

I agree with #5, although for me it's most of the time. Funerals, weddings, dedications, and baptisms can totally do it too! I never knew you had an older brother. #10 is very interesting. What made you know #13? Miss you!
This is so fun! I love little peaks into others lives. :) I also aspire to be a runner, but I get to a certain point and can never break through. I also have older siblings. A brother 2 years older, but then 4 sisters, the youngest of those is 12 years older than me. :)
