Easter Recap 2012

This Easter vacation has been full. Full of family, full of work(around the house), full of down time. I've been able to bake and sew to my heart's content...and I LOVE it! We have a total of eleven days off from school yet we have alot going on- first was Easter and this week is our semi-annual Pastors' Convention at church. We have hundreds of visitors from all over the world here this week.
I'll be blogging about the crayon debacle of 2012 later... Grab your tissues.

She's obsessed with Angry Birds after playing it at a friend's house
 Easter morning breakfast...

Afternoons abounding in sugar, thanks to family
 My in-laws(left), my parents(middle), Eric's grandparents(right)
Its such a blessing to be surrounded by our families!
 The traditional egg hunt...

Yes, there are only two grandgirls. So yes, they get all of these. Sheesh! Anyone want some candy?
And I made this for Easter dinner dessert again. I cant believe how many visits and repins this recipe has gotten on Pinterest: 1,500 now!
And the week before, Eric was inducted as one of two new deacons at our church. It was such a special service and his entire family came to support him(a HUGE blessing to us!). We know the significance of this new title and take it very seriously. It's confirmation of a word spoken over us when we were married: that we would be pillars in the church. Our pastor publicly told Eric he looks forward to the day when he is ordained. Wow, God is good!
So that's a recap of our Easter celebrating. Did you have a blessed Easter?

Seeing the preview of the great crayon debacle of 2012... well it made me teary! And your husband becoming a deacon.... how exciting!! Chris was a deacon in the past (we are too new here....) so I know what an incredible responsibility and privilege it is as called. We will definitely be praying for you all! And you have the trip this weekend as well. I am so excited for you!
